If you're looking for an emotional tear-jerker, comedian 's video is not it. What it is, is a peek at how one quadriplegic woman (she doesn't have use of either her arms or legs) applies flawless makeup, with some hilarious commentary.
Meag wasn't born quadriplegic. The actor/singer/comedian was left paralyzed from the chest down after a car crash in 2005 injured her spinal cord. According to , she underwent a bilateral tendon transfer surgery in 2008, which gave her some function in her hands. Now, she makes her disability work for her and her makeup skills are seriously impressive.
Meag told Mic.com that she filmed her first beauty tutorial because she thought people would be into seeing how she gets ready. "Maybe that could inspire someone else with their look, whether they're disabled or able-bodied," she said.
Watch as she uses puts brushes in her mouth instead of holding them in her hands. "I got special paws, but who cares? I can still make my face look beautiful thanks to makeup," she says in the tutorial. "Get over it. Sometimes I have to put brushes in my mouth to make things work."
Plus, she says exactly what we're all thinking when we do our makeup. As she applies moisturizer, she says: "Using this cheap-o makeup brush I got from China, I will apply my moisturizer all over my face."
Meag gives some really great product recommendations, too. She's loving Marc Jacobs Beauty O!Mega Lash Volumizing Mascara and Wet n Wild lipstick in Rose because it "tastes like the fake makeup you get from Toys R Us for dress up."
When she's finished, Meag has a gorge cat-eye and pretty pink lip.
She finishes the tutorial with a little lesson we can all take inspo from: "After my spinal cord injury 10 years ago, it wasn't easy leaning to do makeup again. But I figured it out. If I can do it with my Barbie paws, you can, too. Never lose faith in your makeup abilities."
