Jenna Kutcher knows her husband is a hottie and that she fully deserves to be with him — no matter her size.
So when the 29-year-old wedding photographer from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin received a message on her Instagram asking about her marriage to 31-year-old health coach Drew, she wanted to send a message to all of her haters.
"Someone once slid into my DMs and told me they couldn’t believe I had managed to land a guy as good looking as . I’ll be honest that I was taken aback," she wrote on Thursday.
Kutcher told that the commenter asked her how "she of all people landed" a guy like her husband. So in response, the wedding photographer posted a body-positive photo of her and her husband strolling on the beach with a long caption explaining why size doesn't matter when it comes to love.
"Part of my insecurity with my body has stemmed around being married to Mr. 6-Pack himself. Why should I, a curvy girl, get him?" Kutcher wrote. "I feel unworthy and when I write narratives in my head that because I am not thin, I don’t deserve him."
Her photo has racked up more than 57,000 likes and 6,000 comments in support of her marriage and her curves. She continues to run her account with the theme of body positivity and loving yourself — including all of your curves. Drew, who posted his own photo on Instagram yesterday, said he was blown away by the response.
"We’re just an average, Midwest married couple who hangs with their dogs and loves having fun together. Isn’t marriage supposed to be about love, acceptance and cherishing one another no matter what?" he wrote in his . "The way we look has nothing to do with the way we love and viral or not, we’re just thankful to have each other and inspire others."
"This man has embraced every curve, every dimple, pound, and pimple for the last ten years and has always me reminded me that I’m beautiful even when my inner dialogue doesn’t match (and when I haven’t showered in days)," Kutcher said. "I am so much more than my body, so is he, and so are you."
