When children come to Santa asking for gifts, they usually ask for presents for themselves. Dolls, train sets, or, as is more the case now, electronics galore. But one little boy asked for a very special gift this year. Four-year-old Prestyn Barnette asked him for a miracle for someone he never met.
The miracle was for a two-month-old baby named Knox Joseph who stopped breathing two weeks ago, and has been on life support in Las Vegas ever since. His parents and three older siblings have been making preparations for him to come home, which they'll be able to do in a few weeks if he's stable. But, according to , the staff at the hospital has been sharing that "many times, babies like Knox don't get to go home."
Prestyn learned about the sick newborn through his grandmother's prayer group, so when he recently went to see Santa at the Dutch Square Mall in South Carolina, he asked for something only a higher power could give: divine intervention.
Prestyn's mother, Rebekah Lauren Sharpe, posted the photo where it quickly made everyone burst into tears. If you want to help Prestyn get his wish, you can visit Knox's and pages, and say a little prayer yourself.
