Decades after finding fame on The Partridge Family, David Cassidy is now making headlines for a very different reason. The former teen idol in Schodack, NY, on Wednesday for "," according to the small upstate town's police chief, Bernhard Peter. During that incident, police saw signs of intoxication and proceeded to give him a Breathalyzer test. With the state legal blood alcohol content percentage at .08, Cassidy failed the test, scoring a .10, and was arrested.
Under the two charges, Cassidy, 63, was taken to Rensselaer County Jail, but was then freed after posting $2,500 bail. Since this wasn't his first alcohol-related run-in with the law, the actor's DWI charge is considered a felony. In 2011, he was convicted for after nearly causing an accident on a highway in Florida, where Cassidy currently lives. At the time, Cassidy admitted to having a glass of wine and taking a pain pill for his backache. Police then reportedly found a half-empty bottle of bourbon in the back of the car.
To battle his current charge, the star is set to appear in Schodack court on Sept. 4.
