Remember when you complained about this year's winter being the longest ever in the history of weather? Well, surprise: Summer has come early. While it's still technically spring, temperatures in the eastern U.S. have skyrocketed to August-like highs. The mercury has reached the upper 90′s in New York and New Jersey, and it's predicted that Boston, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. could see temps reach 100 today.
Because many people aren't prepared for the change in climate, this weather can be extremely dangerous. In the past few days the heat has killed five elderly people in Tennessee, Maryland and Wisconsin.
Or, take advice from 84-year-old Harvey Milliman:
"I'm staying in my house. I'm going to watch TV and have a cold beer. You got a better idea than that, I'd love to hear it."
