Everyone's favorite royal family had quite a year in 2015. There was, of course, the birth of Princess Charlotte, not to mention a bunch of adorably delicious photos of Prince George. It's safe to say this family is never short on good looks, or more importantly, great times. Take a look at 14 royal moments that truly took our breath away this year.
After much anticipation, Kate and William stepped out of the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital with their new daughter on May 2nd. Kate looked flawless after a quick visit with her hair stylist and little Charlotte quickly captured our hearts in one single snapshot.
Little Princess Charlotte was glowing in her white satin and lace christening gown as her gorgeous mother carried her into the Church of St. Mary Magdalene to be baptized. The whole royal family gathered at the church for Princess Charlotte's big day.
How could cheeks that cute not steal the show? His outfit also caused quite a stir when people realized it closely resembled the ensemble Prince William wore on the day he met his younger brother, Harry. There's nothing quite like tradition for the royal family.
Being only two years old we didn't expect the youngster to call her "Great grandmother Queen Elizabeth Alexandra Mary," but we were still smitten when we found out he calls her either a variation of Nanny or Granny. Aww, George keeps it informal with the Queen.
This picture, captured at the family's Norfolk home, is absolute gold—and it's probably one of the only times their parents will be able to capture such a sweet moment before the sibling rivalry begins. Cherish this moment Will and Kate!
It's refreshing to see that even royals get to let loose every once in a while. After George appeared on the balcony with his family for his royal duties, he took a break with his nanny to watch Trooping the Colour in London from a windowsill. This boy never fails to look adorable, does he?
We really cannot get enough of the royal babies! When in late November we nearly lost it. Charlotte's gorgeous eyes and plump cheeks make her a major cuteness contender. Prince George must have taught her his tricks for taking good pics!
In a speech given at a banquet in honor of the 21st anniversary of Child Bereavement UK, Prince William shared the heartbreak he endured when he lost his mom at just 15 years old. "What my mother recognized back then — and what I understand now — is that grief is the most painful experience that any child or parent can endure," he said.
During a moving speech at the opening of Mamohato Children's Centre in Lesotho, Africa, Prince Harry described how hard it was to have his mom snatched away so suddenly, and when he was so young. "I knew there would always be a gaping hole that could never be filled," he .
Sure we know the Queen as being prim and proper, but as you can see in this precious photo, even she can goof off every now and then. And Prince Charles and Princess Anne make taking family photos look fun. Maybe take a cue from their book during your next holiday card photo shoot.
In the preface for a new biography, Elizabeth II: The Steadfast, Prince William delivered as an incredible grandson. He wrote: "The Queen's kindness and sense of humor, her innate sense of calm and perspective, and her love of family and home are all attributes I experience first-hand," he writes. "All of us who will inherit the legacy of my grandmother's reign and generation need to do all we can to celebrate and learn from her story. Speaking for myself, I am privileged to have the Queen as a model for a life of service to the public."
Even in black and white, Princess Diana glows. Thanks to RR Auction house, never-before-seen photos of Diana on her wedding day offer beautiful glimpses into what it was like at Buckingham Palace when she married Prince Charles.
Kate was recently spotted arriving at the Queen's annual Diplomatic Reception sporting the tiara that was given to as a wedding present by the Queen herself. We think Diana would be pleased to know her favorite diamond-and-pearl encrusted tiara is being put to good use.
Prince William and his wife Kate are basically the perfect couple. They teach us that laughter can cure all and that PDA isn't such a bad thing (as long as it's tasteful!). Bravo, you two.
