During , 27-year-old Tina Frost was hit in the head with a bullet, which sent her into a coma. Now, after several weeks in the hospital, she has awoken and taken her first steps.
According to the , Frost and her boyfriend, Austin Hughes (pictures above), traveled from San Diego to attend the Route 91 Harvest Festival. She was shot in the right eye and the bullet penetrated her brain.
Frost was taken to Las Vegas' Sunrise Hospital the day of the shooting, where she survived two surgeries. Dr. Keith Blum, the neurosurgeon who operated on her said that when he was called in"at first Frost wasn't moving her extremities, leading him to fear the worst. But when she began moving, he thought surgery might save her and she was brought to the operating room."

Frost, who had been living in San Diego where she worked as a CPA, has been moved to Johns Hopkins in Maryland to be near her family while she continues her recovery.
