Can You Spot the Snake In This Photo?

If you can, you have better eyes than most.

We're no strangers to pictures of snakes that are hiding in plain sight, and the latest one to go viral is no exception. Posted by a Twitter user named @SssnakeySci, who claims to be a Ph.D. student studying pythons, boas, pit vipers, the photo has been confounding people trying to find the snake ever since it was posted on Sunday.

So, the question is: Can you spot the snake camouflaging in the twigs and leaves?

Received this from a fellow HERper this morning. No caption needed, the task was implied: "can you spot the snake?" 🐍 pic..com/oVkjOm8ufy

If y'all haven't found it yet... Copperhead, aka Agkistrodon contortrix. Cute but venomous, so no touchy! ☺️🐍❤️ pic..com/pSVMIhFP0o

People were pretty freaked out by this insane level of camouflage, especially since the snake was a copperhead, which are extremely venomous.

Even when you see it it keeps disappearing #camouflage

Definitely! I've even been looking specifically for these guys and still nearly stepped on them.

And just so you know, if you do get bit by one of these (heaven forbid), you have to get to a hospital ASAP. Do not try to suck the venom out.

If you are with others, have them take you to hospital ASAP. Do NOT attempt to suck venom from wound, or do anything to increase blood flow

Be careful, everyone!
