Actress Shannen Doherty, best known for her roles in Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, was in 2015 and has been open about her struggles with the disease ever since. She has on Instagram, and revealed in an interview that to her lymph nodes.
But the 45-year-old has also taken to social media for more heartwarming moments. Recently, she thanked her mother, Rosa, for being the support system she needs right now.
Her full caption reads:
"Sometimes there's nothing like a mother's love to help get you through. Thank you mom for always being there and being so strong for me. I love you. #mamarosa #cancersucks #fightlikeagirl"
Before that, she posted a selfie from bed on "chemo day," showing how tough it is to physically get around during treatment.
That caption reads:
"Chemo day. A day many of us dread. Strength gets us through but every once in a while, you just want to hide in bed and let chemo day pass you by. #currentmood #currentsituation#chemoday #fightlikeagirl"
Doherty has relied on her mother throughout her cancer ordeal. Her mom was by her side when she decided to shave her head because of chemotherapy-related hair loss.
