Facebook may not have rolled out the , but what they came up with instead has the potential to be so much better. As of today, as you scroll down your newsfeed and hold your finger over the "like" button on your smartphone, six "reactions" will pop up that you can select from to describe how the article, picture, or video makes you feel.
This is perfect for posts that you feel unsure about hitting the thumbs up on, such as articles about someone dying. Now you can express your sympathies with a "sad" reaction. Or for those posts that really get you riled up, you can click the "angry" emoticon.
If you're scrolling through Facebook on your desktop? Simply hover your mouse over the "like" button and wait for the reactions to pop up. If you're not yet seeing the emoticons on your cell phone, try completely exiting the app and reloading it.
