Barring any glitches from trains, planes, automobiles, ice, rain, snow, what have you, my brothers are coming to town and I am so happy about it.
As you know, this blog is called "Designated Daughter."
As you know, Mom's and my book is called Designated Daughter. Mom has two sons, too, but I have blocked out their light pointing arrows at myself, the daughter, the Daughter, the DAUGHTER!
They are funny men, strong men, quick and brilliant men and growing up with these brothers was specifically perfect for me. As a, shall we say, highly sensitive little girl, my brothers and my father prepared me for anybody and anything with humor, a mouth and attitude.
So they're coming.
And I can listen. I can turn off the spotlights from my Designated head and go stand in their shadows awhile.
Mom is their Mom, too.
They, too, are going to lose her.
I think that is the saddest sentence that I will ever write.
