Wouldn't it be cool if when you and your friends met up, in addition to catching up on the latest gossip and going over the dramas in your lives, you worked together to solve complicated murders and lock up bad guys? That's kind of the premise behind ABC's new crime show .
Based on James Patterson's novels, the show features four women who love their hard-charging jobs and sometimes get too personally involved in the crimes they're trying to solve: Angie Harmon plays a newly divorced homicide detective; Paula Newsome plays a medical examiner who also thrives on taking care of her friends and family; Aubrey Dollar plays a young and ambitious crime desk reporter and Laura Harris plays a deputy district attorney who has a steel gaze in the courtroom but falls apart a lot in her real life.
Tune in to the premiere tonight. Watching a preview of the first episode made me wish I was part of this smart-girls' club.—Jennifer Conrad
