If you're an '80s kid who never really got over your crush on Uncle Jesse, we have some sad news for you: John Stamos is officially off the market.
Stamos and his bride Caitlin McHugh, a 31-year-old model and actress, tied the knot on Saturday at the Little Brown Church in Studio City, California, reports. The small reception, complete with a live band and a dancefloor, was held back at Stamos’s home in Beverly Hills.
Despite a scary setback Friday — that $165,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from her hotel room — McHugh seemed happier than ever on her wedding day. The bride, the couple's first child, wore a stunning strapless ballgown with a full tulle skirt and had her long brown hair swept to one side. The Fuller House actor, 54, wore a classic black tuxedo, white button down, and black bow tie.
Stamos of nearly two years at Disneyland back in October — McHugh’s favorite place in the world. He made a short film of cute, romantic clips from animated Pixar and Disney films, ending the presentation with The Little Mermaid, where he had to “just ask the girl.”
“She loves Disneyland and [at the park], I got on my knee and asked her,” Stamos told People. “I pulled the ring out. I don’t know how she did it, but she went to hug me and slipped her finger right in it. When the park closed, we ran around the park in our Disney onesies.”
The couple met while filming an episode of Law & Order: SVU in 2011, but didn’t start dating until they met again on the set of Fuller House a few years later.
They that they were expecting.
In an interview with , Stamos said McHugh was the one who suggested they have a baby before they tied the knot. “And I said, ‘Why?’” Stamos recalled. “Because you’re old,” McHugh joked.
"The look on John's face when I told him we were pregnant was priceless," McHugh told the magazine. "It was the look of a man who has wanted a family of his own but wasn't sure it was going to happen for him. Now it is!"
Congrats to the newlyweds (and soon-to-be parents)!
