After discovering that seniors most likely to be at risk for hunger are women under the age of 70, African-American, unmarried, and living in the South, the organization launched their first campaign in 2010.
Visit to send a virtual bouquet and personal message to a mother who may not be getting any cards this year–you can also donate a meal for just $7. On the site you can also meet a few women that the organization helps. Their goal is to collect 50,000 messages to print out and deliver by hand around Mother's Day.
Meals on Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest national organization is the country representing representing those programs that provide meals to people in need. MOWAA's mission is to end senior hunger by 2020.
