The comforting flavor of pumpkin spice in this dairy-free coffee syrup is made from a mixture of easy-to-find ingredients and spices, and it's way better than the prepackaged stuff. This recipes makes one cup, so you can store it and add it as desired.

How to Make Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup

(makes 1 cup of syrup)

Ingredients:

1 cup water

1 cup pumpkin puree

½ cup

1 cup

5 cinnamon sticks

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. whole cloves

1 inch piece fresh ginger sliced

½ tsp. fresh nutmeg

½ tsp. whole allspice

Directions:

1. Whisk all ingredients together in a heavy bottomed pot.

2. Over medium heat, dissolve sweeteners and bring to a low boil. Stir frequently and cook 10 more minutes until liquid is reduced. Remove from heat to cool and thicken.

3. Strain into jar, cover tightly, and refrigerate for storage. Use as desired in hot or iced coffee and add milk of your choice, if desired.
